Overview of Global Sourcing Project
For this project, I explored global textile and apparel trade patterns and how they relate to consumer and economic indicators. I used Excel to organize and analyze trade and economic data, created a mood board using Canva to visually display my ideas, and built a Sourcemap to track sourcing and supply chain logistics.

Throughout this project, I demonstrated several key technical skills:
-
Import and Export Data Analysis: I sorted and evaluated global trade data to identify top textile and apparel importers and exporters.
-
Consumer Data Analytics: I examined GDP per capita, life expectancy, and infant mortality to understand how economic development impacts fashion consumption and trade.
-
Apparel Line Development: I applied trade data insights to inform decisions on sourcing regions based on cost, labor, and market demand.
-
Technical Package Creation: I developed costing sheets and referenced Harmonized Tariff Schedules (HTS) to estimate pricing and tariffs for imported and exported goods.
-
Supply Chain Mapping: Using Sourcemap, I visually mapped out potential global supply chains from fiber sourcing to final delivery.
-
Product Development Scheduling: I created a production calendar that outlined key stages in the apparel development process to align with global sourcing timelines.
